Why Reaching Space meetings?
The goal of these Reaching Space meetings is to reach the business and investment in high-tech initiatives. The region of Noordwijk-Rotterdam is one of the most important regions for space science and space business in Europe. More and more entrepreneurs are recognizing that advanced knowledge of eg TNO, TU Delft or ESA, is easily accessible and provides a huge competitive advantage.
The initiators therefore have joined forces with entrepreneurs and investors to show how to make business initiatives more viable. In an informal meeting environment examples and experiences will be discussed from the venture capital market on how to achieve the best results.

ESA open Sky Technology fund
In addition to the ESA Business Incubation Centres, ESA has taken the initiative to promote the establishment of a fund to support start-up and early stage companies. The investment focus of the Open Sky Technologies Fund is on seed-capital investments, start-ups and early-stage growth capital for companies using space-related technologies or satellite applications in non-space applications. These companies need to be located within ESA’s Member States.
ESA BIC Noordwijk
ESA BIC Noordwijk is located in the European Space Business Center (ESIC) of currently 17 companies. The startups are using the ESA incubation program, which allows them to use space technology for its own products. Besides access to the facilities and test centers ESA contribution they receive a starter
The Development Agency East Netherlands in particular, its business angels network, Masters of the Future. A network of more than 200 investors who are closely related to various programs within the universities valorization program WUR Wageningen, Radboud University Nijmegen and the University of Twente
RabobankBollenstreek works closely with ESA BIC Noordwijk for the business incubation program. From this strategic partnership follows a Pre-Seed Loan agreement. Also in the field of networking activities the Rabobank is cooperating in building a networking club for Space-related companies in the region.
