Valeri Lucks is the co-founder and Chief Executive Pie Officer of Honeypie Cafe + Bakeshop in Milwaukee, WI.  Armed with her mother's pie crust recipe, she has been baking pies since she was knee-high to a grasshopper.  Pies are the darlings of her locally-focused restaurants Honeypie, Comet, SmallPie and Palomino as well as her mail-order pie program, PieGram.  Valeri's recipes and pies have been featured inFood and Winemagazine,Travel and Leisuremagazine,Time Out Chicago,Time Out USA,Milwaukee Magazine,OnMilwaukee.com,Milwaukee Journal Sentinal, Wisconsin Public Radio and the Discovery Channel'sUnited States of Bacon.  When she is not baking pies she can be found sampling bourbon with her husband and playing records for her dog.
