In collaboration with The Social Hub The Hague, we proudly present the GRLPWR Workshop &amp; Launch Mixer, an educational streetwear customizing workshop and launch event.On Friday, October 11 on World Girls' Day and during Black Achievement Month, Urban Chicks With Brains marks a unique cultural milestone, presenting and celebrating the new GRLPWR project with a special ABC collection.Women have played a crucial role in the hip-hop world since its inception. With their determination, creativity and unique presence, these female artists embody a powerful energy, making them perfect symbols for an ABC collection that can help you renew associations of the alphabet and get your daily dose of inspiration. The collection features artists broader than hip-hop, including legends like Queen Latifah, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson and Lauryn Hill as well as contemporary icons like Beyoncé, Missy Elliott, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. These musical celebrities have been immortalized from illustrations to pieces of art. Pun intended!The Hague artist and Illustrator JAWGEM, known for his colorful and bold style and campaigns such as Vans, Footlocker and Redbull Soundclash, says about the collaboration with Urban Chicks With Brains and illustrations: “While illustrating these legends, all I could think about was how many we are still missing. Of course, we could only do one artist per letter. But the GRLPWR is real!”.GRLPWR is for the OG's helping to learn and sharing the ABC’s with their youngins in a fun, positive and confident ways. Learn the alphabet letters with popular hiphop and pop female artists, colorfull themes and a whole lotta girl power. This event is for the biggies and the smalls!So far are present: Henca Maduro (Epitome Entertainment), Conchitta Bottse (ADE Beats), Aruna Vermeulen (HipHopHuis), Claudia Marinelli (LKCA), Nathifa &amp; Zuwena (The Bijlmer Bookstore), Nina (De Lastigste), Déquant Khattabi (MCDF Agency), Pay Kolmüs (Bestuurslid Journalistiek Auteursbond) en Jessica Mendels (DenHaag.fm). VisitorsThis event is for EVERYBODY that loves art, culture and music, especially if you’re down with hiphop. So secure your ticket for the workshop on time, there is a maximum of 25 workshop participants (participants under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult) and it starts at 16.00pm. If you only attending the Launch Mixer make sure you attend around 17.45pm. The location is wheelchair friendly.
