Writing the Nerve Endings’ Message
📝 A one-hour creative writing mini-workshop | Part of The Writer’s Room series
We begin with an hour of shared quiet reading.
Bring whatever you’re currently reading; a novel, a zine, poetry, or even scribbled notes and settle in for some nourishing stillness.
Then we move.
Embodied Experience Writing invites you to write from the body outward. Through a guided sensory activity, we’ll wake up the nerve endings—taste, touch, sound, sight, smell—and let them carry us onto the page. Expect to move, feel, taste, notice, and write from the textures of your own experience, exploring how memory and sensation meet in language.
No writing experience necessary. You can write in whatever language feels home to you.
Just bring something to read and something to write with.
