Stand-Up Comedy in Solidarity with Venezuela

On June 24th, two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela. During the past weeks the situation has been critical. Local and international organizations are working around the clock to assist tens of thousands of victims. They need our help in order to get supplies, food, medicines and other equipment.

That's why, as an artistic community, we gathered to host a series of Shows, where all proceeds are being donated to NGOs carrying emergency relief efforts. On this occasion, all money collected will go to Cáritas de Venezuela.

You will get to enjoy a great comedy show, with top comedians, knowing that all your ticket income (and any donation you would like to add on top) goes for a good cause.

Dutch-American comedian Greg Shapiro presents a Tryout for his 9th solo show. In 2026, the USA celebrates 250 years of independence – by bringing back the King. With Donald Trump in power, it feels like it’s been 250 years. ‘What a perfect time for another American Revolution,’ says Shapiro.

Greg Shapiro is one of the originals at Boom Chicago theatre in Amsterdam. He has hosted Comedy Central News, and yes, he is known as the voice of Trump in the ‘Netherlands Second’ viral video with over 50 million views.

Meet your host:

MC Kendra was born into a Reagan-era hunter-gatherer society in Alaska, and started playing saxophone at age 8 inspired by the musical stylings of Lisa Simpson. After surviving the treacherous journey down the infamous Alaskan-Canadian hi-way she studied Music at the University of Oregon finally leaving the US in 2004 in search of a better life (and an affordable Master’s degree). She bought a one-way ticket to Amsterdam, never looked back and has been entertaining folks in Amsterdam ever since.
