Open Monument Day | Heritage & Design tour: 200 Years of Resilience

Kazerne Foundation

Discover 200 years of resilience: from monumental heritage to contemporary design for a sustainable future.

Kazerne – Downtown Eindhoven

Discover how past, present and future come together at Kazerne. During the Heritage & Design Tour, founder Annemoon Geurts takes you through almost 200 years of history, from military police barracks (Kazerne in Dutch) and a municipal services warehouse, to a place where heritage, design and new ideas converge. In keeping with the Open Monument Day theme ‘Resilient Heritage’, Kazerne, as a leading example of adaptive reuse, shows how heritage can connect past, present and future: by preserving what is valuable while making room for new functions and design for a sustainable future. This tour, from 16:00 - 16:45, is English spoken. Click here if you prefer a Dutch spoken tour from 17:00 - 17:45.
