5 Pitfalls When Preparing Your Move Abroad (And How To Avoid Them)

About this event

About This Event

Preparing your move abroad is all about visas, taxes, packing, finding a place, a job, and schools for the kids, right?

Well, not really...

When you are preparing to move abroad, the practical issues usually take the front seat. However, the reality is that even if you have all your logistical ducks in a row, but you’re not in the “right” mindset, chances are you will have a hard time adjusting to a new country.

Also, we frequently get sucked into the overwhelm of all the moving parts when preparing an international relocation. It can be draining and stressful. But it doesn’t have to be.

Thankfully, Expat Academy partner Deborah is here to save the day!

How does she know this? Because she's made the mistakes throughout her expat experience and she struggled a lot. And she has seen many of her clients make this same mistake – it is heartbreaking.

That’s why she decided to create this Pre-move Emotional Checklist Webinar to help you start preparing your move in a conscious and purposeful way – reducing the overwhelm and focusing on what really matters.

With these tools, you can avoid the pitfalls that normally plague big moves like this.

After this webinar you will know what you need to prepare so you can set yourself to a successful live abroad.

About the speaker

Deborah is an expat coach and intercultural psychologist. Also, as seasoned expat, she has lived, studied, and worked in 5 different countries on 3 continents for over 40 years.

Her own experience, coupled with observation of other people’s challenges, motivated her to search for answers as to why we sometimes fail when moving to a new culture, and more importantly how to increase the chances of success.

Deborah holds an MBA from IESE, a Master’s in Intercultural Psychology and a coaching certification at ICC (International Coaching Community). She is also a certified trainer and NLP Practitioner.

With these tools in hand, Deborah helps expats and expats-to-be so they can overcome the challenges of moving and create their best life abroad.
