A lecture and guided tour with Zalán Szakács through his site–specific installation "Lichtspiel" in a water–flooded Koelhuis basement

We invite you to a guided tour and a lecture by an artist Zalán Szakács about the research behind his work "Lichtspiel" presented at Koelhuis basement during Dutch Design Week 2023.“Lichtspiel” by Zalán Szakács engages with the water-flooded basement of Koelhuis Eindhoven through light, haze, and sound. The installation interprets unrealized machine drawings from four centuries ago through contemporary technologies. The audience becomes part of the work as their shadows form on the walls while they move through the space. By combining various kaleidoscopic lenses with a kinetic motor, the spectators find themselves in a configuration of mysticism and technology.
