On Thursday, October 10, the Museum of Humanity proudly presents a special and intimate concert by world-renowned Syrian pianist Aeham Ahmad in Zaandam. Experience an evening filled with music, storytelling, and human resilience.
Who is Aeham Ahmad? Aeham grew up in the Palestinian refugee camp of Yarmouk in Damascus. Amidst the war, he became globally known as “the pianist of Syria” by rolling his piano through destroyed neighborhoods to bring hope through music. After fleeing to Europe, he has become a highly sought-after musician and speaker. His powerful performances and message of peace, humanity, and connection have touched audiences across Europe and beyond. He is a recipient of the International Beethoven Prize for Human Rights.
What to expect? At the Museum of Humanity, Aeham will perform original compositions, classical pieces, and traditional songs. Interspersed between the music, excerpts from his autobiography The Pianist from Syria will be read in English by guest speakers. This unique blend of music and story brings the human side of conflict and hope vividly to life.
