About this event

Connect with diaspora changemakers across Europe as we rethink the African diaspora experience. We’ll tap into our bicultural identity, collective wisdom, and unique experiences to shed light on the role they play in our success. Let’s leverage our bicultural talent to create the change we want to see.

Throughout the event, you can explore resources and opportunities curated by our inspiring attendees. There’ll be a job board with positions from global organizations looking to recruit bicultural talent, a marketplace where you can learn about diaspora organizations around the world, and much more!

Chapter 1: Opening

Join us for a virtual coffee/tea conversation with some inspirational speakers, morning music, and good vibes.

Chapter 2: Understanding our Bicultural Identity

This chapter begins with an in-depth discussion centered on understanding and framing our Bicultural Identity. Guests from different parts of Europe share their individual experience as bicultural of African descent, as Afropeans.

Breakout sessions then bring diaspora leaders within brands and organizations together give insight on how can we build an equitable culture in corporate environments. Another session will explore how intersectionality translates in the African Diaspora in Europe.
Workshops will be offered on the “Cultural Aspects of Negotiation” and “Conflict Mediation”.

Chapter 3: Looking Forward

Co-Hosted with Afrispectives, we discuss the value of understanding our history for the future. We are bringing together cultural historians, authors and activists from the UK, Netherlands, Italy and Germany.

Our breakout sessions include 8 dedicated panels for leaders and peers across various industries to share insights on how they’re creating meaningful change within their field. After the panels, connect with panelists and peers in our networking space.

Chapter 4: Community and Collaboration

Community leaders will discuss what are the keys to building ecosystems where breakthroughs happen. They will also explore why is collaboration a key weapon to the social and professional advancement of the African diaspora.
