<h3><strong><strong>AI and Ego Inflation</strong></strong></h3><p>There is a new phenomenon sweeping the world - AI-induced delusions. People begin to believe that their AI (or LLM) has awakened and become conscious. Or they think that they've discovered the secret of the universe. But there is a less grandiose phenomenon happening on a daily basis, when we talk to our AI chat bots - ego inflation. The interesting thing about it is that it happens to the best of us - no matter how realistic, grounded, or aware we take ourselves to be. In this Philosophy Salon, we will look at this phenomenon and ask how to best understand it and what it is doing to us - and for us. </p><h3><strong><strong>Meeting Information</strong></strong></h3><p>Doors open at 18:45 and close at 19:10. Please be on time! We won't be able to accommodate attendees arriving after 19:10.</p><h3><strong><strong>Philosophy Salons</strong></strong></h3><p>The Philosophy Salons are gatherings of curious people to explore big ideas with an open mind. The Philosophy Salons were created by <strong><strong>Anya Farennikova</strong></strong>, a philosopher of mind based in Amsterdam. We dive deep into beliefs and ideas, dive out, and have fun along the way!</p>
