Stroom Den Haag is a center for visual arts with a wide range of activities. Discussion with speakers Juul Hondius, Arnout Brouwers and Anika Schwarzlose

This Sunday, Stroom Den Haag hosts a group discussion as part of the exhibition <a href="https://www.stroom.nl/en/stroom/agenda-en/the-cost-of-alliance" title="https://www.stroom.nl/en/stroom/agenda-en/the-cost-of-alliance" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Cost of Alliance</a>. The discussion features the artists Juul Hondius, an artist exploring the position and history of NATO in his work; Arnout Brouwers, a geopolitical expert; Anika Schwartzlose, an artist whose work focusses on the role of the strategic dissemination of images; and Wim Zwijnenburg, Project Leader for Humanitarian Disarmament at PAX and coordinator of the European Forum on Armed Drones. Drawing on his expertise, we will discuss the power of visualizations in representing conflicts. The debate will include voices that question NATO's position and aim to clarify the difference between allyship and allegiance.-------------Deze zondag presenteert Stroom Den Haag een programma in het kader van de tentoonstelling <a href="https://www.stroom.nl/stroom-algemeen/activiteiten/the-cost-of-alliance" title="https://www.stroom.nl/stroom-algemeen/activiteiten/the-cost-of-alliance" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Cost of Alliance</a>. In dit tafelgesprek komen verschillende mensen aan het woord: Juul Hondius, kunstenaar die in zijn werk de positie en geschiedenis van de NAVO onderzoekt; Arnout Brouwers, expert of het gebied van geopolitiek; Anika Schwartzlose, een kunstenaar wiens werk de strategische verspreiding van afbeeldingen onderzoekt; en Wim Zwijnenburg, projectleider Humanitaire Ontwapening bij PAX en coördinator van het European Forum on Armed Drones. Vanuit zijn expertise zullen we praten over de kracht van visualisaties bij het in beeld brengen conflicten. In dit debat komen stemmen aan bod die de positie van NAVO bevragen, en het verschil tussen allyship (bondgenootschap) en allegiance (trouw) duiden.
