Happy to announce a special music concert evening in a magical place in Amsterdam, the Vondelkerk. 3 musical performances with piano, synthesizers, electronics and a small woodwind ensemble all presented in this beautiful acoustic space with surround audio.Presenting:Sergio Díaz De RojasCedric Vermue + EnsembleJames HeatherLive audio by Antal van Nie.Doors open at 20.10 ||| Concert starts at 20.30In between the music performances there will be a small break of ±10 minutes.Cedric Vermue is a Dutch pianist and a producer of neo-classical music based in Amsterdam. In 2019 he released his debut album Left Upon Us, mixing piano with electronics and ambiences. Perpetua is his newest project, released in the beginning of 2023 with Mylja Records. For this conceptual album he was inspired by Gregorian melodies and religious music. In this concert he is joined by Quentin Rychner on Oboe / French Horn, Femke van den Bergh on Clarinet/Bass-clarinet and Lex Houtermans on Clarinet/Contrabass-clarinet. Instagram @cedricvermueSergio Díaz De Rojas (b.1994) is a Peruvian pianist and composer based in Dusseldorf, Germany. With over twenty million streams worldwide, several concerts around Europe and South America, and collaborations with labels such as Deutsche Grammophone, 7k! and Leiter Verlag, Sergio's second full-length album Muerte en una tarde de verano (Death in a Summer Afternoon) was released on the 10th of March via Nettwerk Music Group, accompanied by a forty-minute-long film, two handcrafted vinyl editions, a collaboration with American singer Lo-Fang, and a European release tour. Sergio is also the founder and creative director of the boutique record label and creative agency piano and coffee co. Inspired by Ludwig van Beethoven, Claude Debussy &amp; his neighbour’s Acid House radio show, the piano became a passion. After a near death experience and period in a coma, he had the energy to step out as an artist. His art takes as much from electronic music in sensibility &amp; post-rock in its meditative builds as it does its classical &amp; jazz grounding. In 2022 Heather released his second album, “Invisible Forces”. The album is about becoming aware of invisible forces around us to help deepen understanding of self and our connection to the world. Heather first released via Ahead Of Our Time in 2017, Ninja Tune founders Coldcut’s label with “Modulations: EP1”, followed by his well received album “Stories From Far Away On Piano”. Artists such as Mogwai, Voces8, Ishmael Ensenble, Mary Lattimore, KMRU, Sarah Davachi and Echo Collective have contributed towards his “Reworks” album series. Supporters include Cillian Murphy, Nils Frahm, Hannah Peel, Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder label, Forest Swords and The Cinematic Orchestra, who asked him to rework them in 2020. He has worked or performed with Dawn Richard, Coldcut, Penelope Trappes, Rafael Anton Irisarri, Rachika Nayar, and Roger Robinson (King Midas Sound) among others.
