During the Dutch "golden age" (17th century) Amsterdam became the centre of the world and a rich and developed city because of the international trade of the VOC and WIC.
This is a walkingtour through Amsterdam citycentre with a local Amsterdammer. Highlights; Royal palace(1665), Dam square, the oldest house (1528) in Begijnhof, the smallest house (2.05 meter), VOC headquarters, Damrak "dancing houses", Magna plaza, the new church (1409), Westerchurch (1631), Anne Frank house, Canal belt, etcetera.
