Nieuwe Instituut is het nationale museum voor architectuur, design en digitale cultuur. An Evening With is a monthly talk series featuring emerging and established international voices in design, architecture and digital culture.

5–7.30pm: Thursday Bite (€ 8,88)Het Nieuwe Café offers a Thursday Bite every Thursday evening from 5 pm: a light vegetarian meal from the kitchen of chef Manuela Gonçalves Tavares. You can order the Thursday Bite for € 8,88 at the bar on the evening itself.7pm–8pm: Thursday Night Detour (Exhibition tour, Free, max 12 participants)Every Thursday evening, one of the Detour Guides (formerly known as tour guides) takes you on a free Detour through one of the exhibitions in Het Nieuwe Instituut. Experience design, digital culture and architecture from your guide&#x27;s perspective. For example, one Detour ends in a joint choreography and you design for insects in another.7–8.30pm: Research Nights: New Store (Roundtable Discussion, Free) (CANCELLED)Update: this programme component has been cancelledIn the form of a roundtable discussion, this edition of Research Nights explores the themes surrounding the novel long-term initiative New Store, a concept store based on regenerative forms of participation. This event acts as a moment to bring the general public and invited guests from the fields of design, architectural and cultural retail together.If you wish to participate in this event, send an e-mail to Tijn van de Wijdeven via t.vandewijdeven@hetnieuweinstituut.nl. There is room for 10 participants. New Store is a collaboration between Het Nieuwe Instituut, Seeking State and International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam.8–9.30pm: Holding Space with Aminata Cairo (Book Presentation and performance, € 7,50 / € 3,75)Speaker, academic and storyteller Aminata Cairo reads from her book Holding Space, in which she explains her own approach to inclusion. As with the book, this presentation is an experience: with music, dance and words, Cairo involves everyone present in the joint pursuit of an equal space where everyone is valued.

<h3>Thursday Night Live!</h3>Thursday Night Live! is a weekly evening devoted to burning questions in architecture, design and digital culture, featuring leading speakers from home and abroad. Het Nieuwe Café serves a meal, there’s music from DJs or live perfomers, the museum is open for free and our Detour Guides (aka tour guides) show you around the exhibitions.
