Nieuwe Instituut is het nationale museum voor architectuur, design en digitale cultuur. Nieuwe Instituut houdt zich bezig met de grote ontwikkelingen in de maatschappij, zoals de krapte op de woningmarkt, de energietransitie, de opkomst van kunstmatige intelligentie, mobiliteit of het gebruik van de publieke ruimte. An Evening With is a monthly talk series featuring emerging and established international voices in design, architecture and digital culture.

Architect Anupama Kundoo shares insights from her practice, her holistic design approach and her ideas for contented living. Her work is rooted in our fundamental human need for purpose, refuge and social engagement. Explore her work, inspirations and dreams for the future. The evening is organised in collaboration with Independent School for the City.Anupama Kundoo<a href="https://anupamakundoo.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Anupama Kundoo</a> combines research, practice and teaching to build architecture far outside of the mainstream and the commercial, developer-driven world. Her practice is based on strong convictions, both theoretical and ideological, that drive her material research, collaborations with local builders and experiments with sustainable working methods. Kundoo has built extensively in India and worked, researched and taught in a variety of cultural contexts around the world. She taught urban management at TU Berlin and proposed her strategies for a future city for Africa. She is the author of _Roger Anger: Research on Beauty/Recherche sur la Beauté, Architecture 1958-2008_, published in Berlin by Jovis Verlag in 2009.
