TheShadow organizes events in Amsterdam and surroundings in which feelings and cultures are shared through live music, storytelling, dance, workshops and food. Meet new people, artforms and (sub)cultures and enjoy the exchange!

Arabian Flavour Festival is a big summer celebration that brings people and (sub)cultures together. We listen to sounds from all over the world, share stories, watch energizing dances, taste Middle-Eastern flavors, feel the music during a Dabke workshop and meet new people, all within an Arabic atmosphere.PROGRAMWe start the day with storytelling, in which everyone is invited to join. On the big stage live music fills the afternoon, with tunes by artist from different corners of the world, Arabic musicians and rising stars. In the meantime dancers, singers, poets and other artists fight for your attention on the small stage during the talent show. Ready for a break? Enjoy middle Middle-Eastern food and meet new people, while listening to the DJ. After the award ceremony the evening programme sets off. We show and teach you something from Arabic culture during the performances and Dabke Workshop. An Arabic folk dance which is super fun and for everyone! Dancers jump in to surprise you, with advanced moves and some hip-hop. We move, meet and enjoy the Arabian Flavour.
