This summer we are gatherin in one of the most beautiful parks of Amsterdam to ground and journey within through watercolor painting.

Painting (especially with watercolours) can be a very meditative and healing experience. Creative activities bring you into the now moment, you can allow yourself to turn your mind off and connect with yourself on a deeper level. And this is the main goal of this workshop: to let your head rest, turn off the noise of the world and connect with yourself.

Watercolor is an exceptional medium to do an art meditation with. Its unpredictability and liquid nature encourage and enhance the experience of flow and surrender. This can feel like a breath of fresh air. But it can also shed light on some shadow aspects within yourself that actually hinder feeling peaceful and relaxed on a daily basis.

We start and end the workshop with a little meditation, bringing your attention into this space and moment, and while painting there is no need to achieve any results. The instructor will show some abstract watercolor techniques that you can use, and then we play with the water, paint (and perhaps some additional mediums) and see where it takes us. We observe and create. It’s totally fine if nothing “beautiful” comes out.

The most important thing is to stay present with your sensations and feelings. You are encouraged to make notes about what emotions and thoughts are rising up, so that you can continue the inner work with these aspects at a later time.

Natalia Zhuravska is an artist and a creative entrepreneur. She is an avid explorer of creativity. Throughout the years she has been on a journey through various forms of self-expression, following the guidance of her curiosity and intuition. Her creative nature is balanced with her passion for entrepreneurship. In 2019 she set up her first creative business Krystal River: an Etsy shop with jewelry she made herself and in the following few years she has been mainly selling her work online. In 2023 she opened the doors of Art Boutique Rêverique in Delft, where she now can also show her work physically to the world. Besides her own creative projects, Natalia loves to inspire others to explore their own creative potential and bring their dreams to life. One of her biggest passions is to organize creative workshops and to coach other artists/creatives in building viable and authentic creative businesses.
