About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours
  • Ages 16+

Join our Basic Workshop to explore and express your thoughts, ideas, and feelings in a safe, supportive space.

Through active theatre games, storytelling, and improvisation, you'll build self-awareness, focus, and confidence while connecting with others. You'll learn to use your body, voice, and imagination more expressively, explore characters, and unlock creative potential.

This process helps you overcome stage fear, social anxiety, and enhances communication and presentation skills—all while having fun!

We also reconnect with our inner child, often silenced by routine and stress. Play, spontaneity, and creative expression can be surprisingly therapeutic and joyful. No prior experience needed—just come ready to explore, share, and grow.

Led by Nandini Rao, theatre director, trainer & facilitator with years of experience in using theatre for personal reflection, change & shifts. She says ' let there be more theatre onstage, so there is less drama in life'

Frequently asked questions

I have no previous theatre experience. Can I still join this workshop?

Absolutely! This workshop is designed for everyone—whether you're stepping into theatre for the first time or just curious to explore something new. No prior experience is necessary.

I'm shy and introverted. Is this workshop suitable for me?

Yes! In fact, many participants join precisely for this reason. The workshop offers a safe, supportive space to gently step out of your comfort zone at your own pace. You’re not expected to be loud or extroverted—just open to trying.

I don’t want to become an actor, but I do want to overcome stage fear. Is this for me?

Definitely. The primary focus of the workshop is to help you gain confidence in front of others, improve your self-expression, and reduce performance anxiety—whether or not you pursue acting afterward.

What is the methodology used in the workshop?

We use a mix of theatre games, voice and body exercises, improvisation, storytelling, and group activities. The goal is to build confidence, spontaneity, and ease in self-expression through experiential learning.

Is there a final performance?

There will be informal sharing at the end, but it’s optional and meant to be stress-free. It’s more about celebrating your journey than delivering a polished performance.

What is the language of instruction?

The primary language will be English, but we encourage you to express yourself in any language you’re comfortable with. The focus is on communication, not correctness.

What should I wear to the workshop?

Comfortable clothing that allows free movement is ideal—like track pants, t-shirts, or anything you’d wear to a yoga or dance class. Avoid restrictive or formal clothing.
