Beginner's Mind: Philosophy Salon
If you speak to someone who is spiritually curious or part of a spiritual tradition, you will likely hear about Beginner's Mind. The concept is both young - introduced to the West in the 70s - and ancient, as old as the cosmos and our search for meaning in life. Beginner's Mind is a doctrine but also a subtle shift. It can radically change perception and how we imagine, think, and feel. While the concept itself is wonderful and clear, it is often misunderstood - with confusion about its meaning circulating through blogs and podcasts. In this Philosophy Salon, we will look at Beginner's Mind in a new way: is it for everyone, is it truly powerful, and what does it reveal about our purpose in life?
