You're invited to join us in learning the fundamentals of botanical watercolour painting. Whether you've a few paintings under your belt, or are just starting out with watercolour, I'll have some fresh tips and tricks for you to discover, as well as a printed guide to take home.
NOTE This ticket is for the single stand-alone Lesson ii. You can purchase a ticket for the whole course/ all 4 lessons together (this block runs Sept-Oct '25) here (if it's full, sign up for my monthly newsletter where you'll hear when I plan the next course). You can join us for this one session, or for all four.

Each session has a different focus~
Lesson ii~ 'Mark-Making: Techniques for a Beautiful Painting' (Sat 20th Sep 10.00-11.30)
- Different painting and brush techniques, such as
Using negative space (dramatic florals), wet-on-wet, glazing, dry-brush, brushstroke styles.
Once you’ve practiced these you’ll have more fun ways to paint and be more intentional with your mark-making.
Each lesson will have a different choice of real and photographed botanical subjects to paint and study, and you'll pick up the fundamentals which can be applied to any painting subject, not just botanicals.
Laura Carter is a professional English illustrator, with several years experience of giving art workshops.
