On September 20th, Area51 will transform into the beating heart of street culture during the Nacht van Strijp-S. Together with Area51, NBL and EMOVES, powered by Stichting Bosse Nova and Project Culture Up, we present: Block Party XL.
A free celebration for the whole community, where graffiti, dance and music collide under one roof.
Graffiti Jam
The walls of Area51 turn into a massive canvas. On the east side, facing the Klokgebouw, aerosol artists and graffiti crews will bring their styles to life. Curated by Alleycat, Kiosk Collective and Unframed, expect international names, national heroes, local legends and fresh new talent.
Breaking Battle
The Dutch Breaking League (NBL) brings a spectacular 2 vs 2 battle. Crews will compete for €1,200 prize money:

All-Style Battle & Jam
Hip hop, house, popping, breaking – all styles unite in this All-Style battle. With prize money up for grabs:
🥇 1st place: €400
🥈 2nd place: €200
With Lucas Benjamin on the decks and a professional jury, this will be a showcase of creativity and skills. After the battle, the floor opens up for an all-out jam, with sounds ranging from funk to dubstep, guided by the night’s MC. Everyone is welcome to join.
