Breathwork for Stress Relief: Calm the Mind & Relax the Body
Feeling tense, overwhelmed, or close to burnout? You’re not alone — especially as we approach the end of the year. Stress often shows up in the body as tight shoulders, shallow breathing, racing thoughts, and a nervous system that feels out of balance.
Breathwork offers a simple yet powerful way to pause, reset, and restore calm.
Breathwork is the practice of consciously working with your breath to support your physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. Though we breathe every day, it’s often an overlooked tool — one that can shift how we feel in just minutes. The way we breathe affects the way we feel, and the way we feel affects how we breathe. By bringing awareness to the breath, we create space to step out of the mind and back into the body — moving from tension to relaxation, from overwhelm to stillness.
Join us for a cozy evening workshop on Wednesday, November 19, and discover how your breath can help you calm your mind and relax your body. We’ll explore 3–5 gentle, accessible breathing techniques to regulate your nervous system, release tension, and restore a sense of calm. You’ll leave with practical tools to ground yourself and find peace anytime life feels stressful.

How to Prepare
Dress comfortably, feel free to bring a blanket or extra layers, and otherwise just show up as you are! The beauty of this practice is that it meets you exactly where you are and it requires very little — just your willingness to breathe, curiosity, and self-compassion.

The Facilitator
I’m Emma Uhlenhopp, a trauma-informed breathwork facilitator with an MSc in Psychology & Neuroscience of Mental Health. My breathwork practice explores how our breathing affects the way we feel — and how we can use our breath as a tool to support our health, well-being, and healing. Our breath is one of the most accessible and powerful tools we carry within us.
Drawing from both scientific understanding and experiential practice, I offer spaces where people can slow down, turn inward, and explore the simple act of breathing with more intention. My approach is gentle and compassionate — creating space for participants to explore the power of their breath at their own pace — and is rooted in the belief that growth and healing happen when we feel truly seen and supported.
