Xander has worked in the fashion industry for over 20 years, spending much of his time in Asia. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Erasmus University Rotterdam, participating in the FABRIX project (fabrixproject.eu) that aims to create circular ecosystems in the textile and clothing sectors of Rotterdam and Athens. She demonstrates how climate activism and diplomacy can work hand in hand. A lot has changed since '99. We're living in 2024 and 'bring it back' is more present than ever. Today we call this phenomenon: circular. But what do we mean when we say something is circular? Who's doing it, and why? What do we need to turn linear into circular? With this community event we try to make sense of what circularity means. We don't have all the answers, but in this event series we try to unveil the numerous examples of circular entrepreneurship and inspire you to implement circular practices in your life and maybe even become a circular entrepreneur yourself! This event series is hosted by WEAR and is powered by Rotterdam Circulair.
