Candle Making Workshop: From Rio to Lisbon

Join us for a hands-on candle making workshop designed for expats, locals, and anyone in the Netherlands who's curious to swap small talk for something a little more creative. This event is co-hosted by Definitely tuga and Passie candles.

​You'll design and take home one candle of your choice:
🍋 Caipirinha Candle — lime, sugar, cachaça energy poured. The Brazilian classic, minus the hangover.
🥮 Pastel de Nata Candle — Looks (almost) good enough to eat, smells like a Lisbon bakery on a Sunday morning.
✨ Signature Candle — your blank canvas, decorated with cheeky Portuguese expressions or Brazilian themes. Pick your vibe, make it yours.

​What you'll learn:
✦ Overview of wax types and their uses
✦ Choosing scents and adding essential oils
✦ Techniques for decorating and labeling your candle
While you create, we'll keep things flowing with Portuguese and Brazilian snacks and drinks — think the kind of bites you'd find on a Lisbon side street or a Rio de Janeiro terrace.

​This isn't just a workshop, it's an excuse to actually talk to people. To laugh at weird translations, share where you're from, swap restaurant tips, and leave with a candle you made, a few new connections, and that warm post-evening glow.
