CarbonSpace: Designing with data - Carbon Confessions

CarbonSpace: Designing with data - Carbon Confessions

KeilepandRotterdam, ZH
Wednesday, Mar 4 from 6 pm to 8 pm CET
Overview

Join MVRDV NEXT for a lecture showcasing CarbonSpace, MVRDV’s free LCA tool, and how carbon data can guide design decisions.

As part of the Carbon Confessions exhibition, MVRDV is hosting a series of events that expand on the themes of carbon reduction in the architecture industry, bringing together experts and collaborators to discuss carbon, materials, and the future of sustainable architecture.

On 4 March, join Boudewijn Thomas and Arend van Waart from MVRDV NEXT, for a lecture showcasing CarbonSpace, an early-stage LCA tool designed by MVRDV and made available for free public use, helping architects and designers calculate the carbon emissions of their projects.

The session will demonstrate how the tool works, how carbon data can inform design decisions from an early stage, and how such calculations can be integrated into practice. Participants are welcome to bring a project if they are seeking guidance on calculating its emissions or understanding its carbon impact, with time reserved after the lecture for questions and discussion.

18.00 - doors open

18.20 – start of the lecture

*This event will be in English.
