Cartooning for Sanity — A Drawing Workshop for Overthinkers, Change-Makers & Doomscroll Survivors

Are you...
...building a mission-driven career or business?
...trying to stay hopeful in a chaotic world?
...carrying too much in your head, your heart, or both?

We get it.

We’ve been running impact-focused ventures for 8+ years. And like many in this space, we’ve been through waves of burnout, self-doubt, and existential overwhelm. Talking helps. But you know what else does?

Drawing it out. Literally.

Cartooning has become our unexpected emotional outlet.
It’s where fears meet funny metaphors.
Where your inner critic gets turned into a doodle.
Where whining is welcome. Where pessimism is allowed a sense of humour.

We hosted our first Cartooning for Sanity session in March 2024, and the response blew us away.
No one was a professional cartoonist.
Everyone had something to say.
By the end of the hour, we were laughing at our own anxieties—and feeling a little less alone in them.

What to Expect:

A 60-minute guided cartooning workshop designed for relief, release, and reflection.

We’ll lead you through two simple, expressive drawing exercises:

  • Cartoon Your Career Fear – What keeps you up at night? What if it were a stick figure walking up the wrong hill?
  • Mad Truths About the World – Take one absurd reality and turn it into a comic strip. No filter, no sugar-coating.

No drawing experience needed. Just bring:

  • A few sheets of paper
  • A black pen or sketch marker
  • An open mind and a sense of humour (even a tired one)

Why Join?

  • To turn your mental clutter into visual clarity
  • To express without performing
  • To laugh at your own dread (it helps, promise)
  • To connect with people who get it

Come as you are. Doodle what you feel. Leave a little lighter.

Hosted by:

✨ We’re not trying to fix the world in this hour.
We’re just drawing our way through it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know how to draw?

Absolutely not. As long as you can hold a pen to paper, you should be totally fine :)
