The speakers will share their experiences and perspectives in closing the living income gap. What pathways are there? What are blind spots in the current conversations to close the gap? Are we overlooking some stakeholders? What transformations are needed to get to a truly fair cocoa trade? Crucial questions that will be touched upon by a great team of panellists. After sharing their views on closing the living income gap, we will continue with a Q&A/panel discussion that will be moderated by CET.
Chocolate for Everyone week 15 to 17 December 2021.
This event is part of the Chocolate for Everyone week from 15-17 December 2021 organized by the Centre for Economic Transformations* from the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam. During this week we zoom in on the big question: how can we close the living income gap in the cacao industry? Several panel discussions are organized with stakeholders from the industry to shed light on different pathways how we could close this income gap. We will look at the role of transparency, biodiversity and close the week with exploring different perspectives what should be done to create only fair and sustainable chocolate bars.
