City Scouts is a playful intervention about caring for urban environments and their inhabitants together as a new kind of scouting group

Are you respectful, kind, and helpful? Do you want to wonder about and care for urban spaces? Can you appreciate what is already there? Are you looking for new friends who feel the same way? Then we think you'll be a great fit for the City Scouts!The City Scouts were founded in an attempt to combat individualistic mindsets and lack of consideration for our surroundings. In doing so, this new scouting group hopes to unite people in caring more about the urban environments they inhabit. Drawing from LARP and speculative design, this work explores pervasive play and worlding not as a form of pretending, but as a form of practicing. During this experience, you will work together to learn new ways of w(o)andering about the city and earn a badge to track your skills.
