Are you ready to swap your clothes and refresh your wardrobe? We know we are. That&#x27;s why we want to welcome you to our one-of-a-kind Clothing Swap – a combined effort of COMN and Makers Unite, where we want to create connections with our fellow peeps while tackling the issue of overconsumption. As Makers Unite, we&#x27;re all about creativity, co-creation, and community, which is why we teamed up with COMN – a community-driven app that lets you share your clothes within your Community (aka COMNunity). By joining forces and hosting this Swap Event, we want to encourage new ways of interacting with our clothes. All you need to bring are the clothes you no longer wear, we&#x27;ll sort out the rest. ✌️🎶Walk-in starts at 18.30, we&#x27;ll accept all of your items and give you tokens in return.Make sure to be there in time, because we&#x27;ll kick off the swap at 19.00. Rules of the Swap Game.The concept is simple – you bring the clothes you no longer wear and swap them for another item in the swap, using the tokens you received for the clothing you handed in. But, here are a couple of practical things: We categorize all clothes using a token system– for a fast fashion item you will receive a blue token (representing 1 point), for a mid-end brand you will receive an orange token (representing 2 points), and for a high-end brand, you will receive a yellow token (representing 3 points). You can swap the tokens for items of equivalent value, meaning you can either swap a blue token for another item worth 1 point, or 3 blue tokens for an item worth 3 points. Other things you need to know:<ul><li>You can hand in a maximum of 5 items per person</li><li>We won&#x27;t accept any underwear and swimwear or torn or worn-out clothing.</li><li>Plus, please mind that you only hand in clean and washed clothes.</li></ul>Temporary Swaps: During this swap event, you can not only engage in permanent swaps but also start your temporarily swapping journey via the <a href="https://comn.clothing" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">COMN app</a>. All you have to do is download the app, upload some of your favorite items, bring them to the swap event and the COMN team will help you out with how to start borrowing and lending via the app during the event. To be super clear: temporary swapping means you won&#x27;t give your clothing to another person for good, they will just get a chance to borrow it from you for some time, and you can borrow something from them as well. By offering you the opportunity to borrow instead of buy, COMN is tackling the world&#x27;s issue of overconsumption. This way, sharing your clothes via COMN is the perfect way to find &#x27;new&#x27; items and experiment with different styles whilst doing your wallet and the planet a favor.About Makers UniteMakers Unite is a social enterprise with a big social mission: to support newcomers with access to the job market through the collaborative design and production of sustainable products. Plus, we support the creative talent of newcomers by providing them with training programs to develop soft and hard skills. Our ethos is to use creativity as a means of empowerment. Since 2016, Makers Unite has created campaigns, products, and collaborations that tell the stories of newcomers worldwide with partners such as Ben &amp; Jerry’s, Amnesty International, Filling Pieces, Arriva, Baskèts, Lush Cosmetics, and more.

Please note that we are obliged to ask everyone to show their valid corona entry pass.
 If you have a valid corona test certificate, valid proof of vaccination, or proof of recovery, you can put these certificates in the CoronaCheck app on your smartphone. Proof of vaccination is valid from no earlier than at least 2 weeks after full vaccination (in Dutch) and from 4 weeks after a Janssen vaccination. A negative corona test result can only be used as a valid test certificate within 24 hours of testing. With the CoronaCheck app, you can generate the corona entry pass as a QR code. You may also print a copy of the corona entry pass through CoronaCheck.nl. EU residents may use an EU Digital COVID Certificate (DCC).
