Tonight we open a special exhibition in which the Marineterrein is not only the backdrop, but also the very source of colour and inspiration. Guided by various artists and researchers, pigments have been collected, extracted, and transformed: from soil, plants, algae, bark, and even steel.
The works you see here tell stories about material, colour, and place. They reveal what often remains hidden – the shades of a landscape, the muted tones of lichens, the subtle hues of trees, and an index of the site itself.
This exhibition is an invitation to look differently: at colour as process, as research, as energy. We hope you will experience the richness and diversity of this pigment theatre, and take with you new ways of imagining the Marineterrein.In collaboration with the Academy of Architercture
