Atlas of Sustainable Colours presents: Colour Impact CatalogueTogether with our supporting partners Vienna Textile Lab and Martina Spetlova we stated following research question: how do you measure and communicate the impact of non-fossil fuel based colours?The project journey led us to question the framework behind colour presence and usage in the fashion system and as a result, we started developing a tool that could help fashion “users” connect to their “why” behind the colours in their clothing.In the industry that mostly uses conventional dyes and methods, there is an emerging movement of alternative colour makers. How do their creations fit into the current system? A storyteller, a dyer and a designer will share their insights into sustainable dyeing gathered during development of the project Colour Impact Catalogue. During webinar we will present 3 different approaches to the following question: What is the impact of colour? She founded AoSC as a result of exploring the emerging alternative dyeing movements with a goal to map all important factors which foster development of conscious colour creation and usage.Katya is an environmentalist and creative business developer, focused on community, authentic communication and sustainable growth. Personally, she is driven not only by the vision for a better world, but how we get there - with conscious business creation, mutual support and collaboration to the benefit of all involved.K﻿arin Fleck | <a href="https://viennatextilelab.at" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Vienna Textile Lab</a>Karin Fleck holds a Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from the RMIT University, Melbourne Australia. She pursued a career in the oil and energy business before discovering the life of an entrepreneur. In 2017, she founded Vienna Textile Lab - a biotech startup dedicated to creating non-harmful dyes for textiles. I could useM﻿artina Spetlova | <a href="https://martinaspetlova.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Martina Spetlova</a>Martina Spetlova is an educator, researcher and designer known for creating vibrant handwoven leather jackets, coats, and interior design pieces. Her background in biology and chemistry influences her experimental approach, which challenges materials and expectations.
