Join us in Ljubljana on Thursday 30 March for an intensive Community Placemaking Training hosted by <a href="https://placemaking-europe.eu" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Placemaking Europe</a>. During this 1-day training you will learn about how placemaking can help to: <ol><li>Create impactful and practical community projects </li><li>Help citizens to make their voices heard on community development issues </li><li>Develop the ‘<a href="https://thriving-communities.org/placemaking-for-civic-imagination/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">civic imagination</a>’ your community needs to shape a better future </li></ol>You will develop your skills and knowledge of placemaking approaches and tools. You will benefit from exchanging with colleagues on how placemaking can be scaled to have the greatest impact in Slovenia. A﻿bout the Speakers:<ul><li>Ramon Marrades - an urban economist, writer, and activist with a passion for people and places. He is currently Director at Placemaking Europe, founder at Vigla –an applied research start-up focused on designing urban futures–, and strategy advisor to a number of cities and large-scale development projects. Before, he has served as the Chief Strategy and Finance Officer at La Marina de València, Valencia’s waterfront redevelopment agency, and a board member of the Worldwide Network of Port Cities (AIVP).</li><li>Milena Ivković - a Dutch-Serbian public space designer and civic participation innovator. She leads the Association Placemaking Western Balkans - based in Belgrade - a non-profit organization focused on creating better public spaces in the cities across the Balkans and SEE region and promotion of placemaking tools and methods.Next to leading the Placemaking Balkans movement and being a Board Member of Placemaking Europe Milena is the creative director of BLOK 74 based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. BLOK 74 is a digital design collective with expertise in serious games and gamified simulations for civic participation and scientific communication.</li><li>Alenka Korenjak - a co-founder of architectural office Kombinat arhitekti d.o.o. and urban design studio Prostorož. She is experienced designing public space projects where cross-sectoral cooperation and communication with inhabitants plays a crucial role. She believes in architecture that pays attention to the everyday needs of people and offers creative solutions to improving quality of life.</li><li>Aidan Cerar, PhD - a sociologist who has mainly been involved in projects dealing with urban regeneration, civic participation, and community involvement in planning and mobility. During the drafting of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for the City of Ljubljana, Aidan led the participation process. He is also a founding member of Library of Things, a social innovation service established in Ljubljana; and a member of Maja Farol, a well-established group of architects.</li></ul>The training is suitable for anyone interested in placemaking approaches. People with all levels of experience are welcome. The training will be in English. The training is free, but registration is required and participants are expected to commit to the full day. The number of places is very limited, so don&#x27;t wait to sign up. This training is part of the <a href="https://placemaking-europe.eu/listing/placemaking-for-citizen-led-missions-in-se-europe-place/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">PLACE</a> project (Placemaking for Citizen-led Missions in SE Europe), which is led by <a href="https://placemaking-europe.eu" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Placemaking Europe</a>, <a href="https://korimako.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Korimako</a>, <a href="https://klikninaodrzivo.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">KLIK</a> and <a href="https://www.wepush.org/en/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">PUSH</a>, who are all members of <a href="https://medium.com/thriving-communities-of-south-eastern-europe" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Thriving Communities </a>- an initiative helping communities to create radical enough change to thrive in the 21st century. This event is made possible thanks to support from the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme of the European Union. Naučite se, kako s pomočjo pristopa “placemaking”, ustvariti pozitivne spremembe v svoji skupnosti! Pridružite se nam v četrtek, 30. marca, v Ljubljani na intenzivnem “placemaking” usposabljanju, ki ga gosti Placemaking Europe. Na tem enodnevnem tečaju boste izvedeli, kako lahko s placemakingom pripomorete k: <ol><li>Oblikovanju pozitivnih in praktičnih skupnostnih projektov </li><li>Podpiranju razvoja skupnosti in aktivaciji lokalnih deležnikov </li><li>Sooblikovanju skupne vizije (civic imagination) za trajnostno prihodnost </li></ol>Razvijali boste svoje spretnosti in znanje o pristopih in orodjih za “placemaking”. Izkoristili boste lahko priložnost izmenjave mnenj s kolegi o tem, kako lahko placemaking razširimo, da bo imel največji učinek v Sloveniji. Usposabljanje je primerno za vse, ki jih zanimajo “placemaking” pristopi. Dobrodošli so ljudje z vsemi stopnjami izkušenj. Usposabljanje bo potekalo v angleškem jeziku. Usposabljanje je brezplačno, vendar je potrebna prijava. Od udeležencev pa se pričakuje, da se bodo udeležili celotnega dneva. Število mest je zelo omejeno, zato pohitite s prijavo. To usposabljanje je del projekta PLACE (Placemaking for Citizen-led Missions in SE Europe), ki ga vodijo Placemaking Europe, Korimako, KLIK in PUSH, ki so vsi člani pobude Thriving Communities - pobude za pomoč skupnostim pri ustvarjanju dovolj korenitih sprememb za uspeh v 21. stoletju. Ta dogodek je mogoč s podporo programa Evropske unije Državljani, enakost, pravice in vrednote.
