Confronting caste in capitalism

Confronting caste in capitalism

NUL ZESEindhoven, NB
Sunday, May 10  •  2 PM - 3:30 PM
Overview

Arati Kade and Hitesh address caste-capitalism and decolonial activism, followed by ample time for discussion

On Sunday May 10th, between 14h and 15:30h, you can share your insights on anti-caste movements (in India and the rest of the world), and on the intersection of caste, gender, decolonisation, and it's relationship with capitalism.

The gathering will take the form of a conversation in which both speakers share their ideas and knowledge, followed by ample time for an interactive exchange of ideas. The event will be held in English, but everyone is invited to express their thoughts in a more accessible language (Dutch, Hindi, Marathi, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, etc).

It will be a fine gathering with lots of insights and togetherness.
Be welcome!

🔵 Confronting caste in capitalism

📅 Sunday 10 May

⏰ 14-15:30h (with drinks afterwards)

📍 NUL ZES, Gasfabriek 3a, Eindhoven

🚦 Free entrance(for those who cannot come, this is the Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/s/86746600338?pwd=IzExz7YhfbDLSAlKuUO6StOEoAgGsP )

This will be a conversation between Hitesh, as an online speaker, and Arati Kade (in person) about caste-capitalism, anti-caste movements, and how militarism is reiterating caste.

The series of conversations ‘Accountability without borders’ aims to create room for coping with the despair around the growing imperialism in the world, with the impunity of countries like Israel and the United States, and how this connects to our daily life, including right-wing populism, militarisation of the industry and of education, state surveillance, war mongering, climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss. Follow the Accountability without borders-account, to see announcements of upcoming events.

Code of conduct

We focus on policies, not on individuals, and we oppose all forms of oppression, like discrimination on political ideas, religious convictions and on the appearance of people: we reject anti-Semitism, anti-Palestinian racism, Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and any ideology based on supposed superiority.

Accountability without borders is an anti-imperialist, anti-fascist and anti-militarist platform. The moderator will intervene upon authoritarian, casteist, racist, classist, patriarchal, colonial, or otherwise problematic statements.
