Connection Cafe May

International, cultural event about connecting through discussions, networking, food, music and dance

On May 31st, we will host the fourth edition of Connection Café, in collaboration with Rozet and Refugee Company, with support from Connect Arnhem, at A Beautiful Mess Rozet. In this edition, we will explore the concepts of home and belonging. When do you feel part of a new society, and what does “home” truly mean to us? By the end of the event, we hope to experience a shared sense of home and belonging through collective experiences.

The evening begins with a panel discussion and Q&A, featuring three individuals from different backgrounds, each sharing their unique perspectives on the theme. Afterward, Basak will share a personal and moving story about home.

After the stories, we will gather around a delicious community dinner, prepared by members of our community from the AZC, following a special ritual with Chef Aymen, sharing both food and hospitality.

We will close the evening with a live music band and Flow – a guided dance inspired by ecstatic dance that strengthens the sense of community and connection.

The new editions of Connection Café are international events that provide an inclusive and safe space for all residents from different backgrounds in Arnhem. Through themed events, we experience shared understanding and contribute to creating a more inclusive society.
