About

Creative Skills Week 2025 (CSW2025) is a key meeting point for the cultural and creative industries (CCIs). It offers a dedicated platform to share knowledge, shape future competences, and promote new approaches to lifelong learning, re-skilling, and up-skilling.

Taking place in Prague and online, CSW2025 brings together educators, policymakers, sector leaders, artists, students, and learners of all kinds to collaborate across boundaries, co-create new learning pathways (CYANOTYPES Framework), and build skills for a resilient, future-ready sector.

Create. Transform. Regenerate

Co-organised with EIT Culture & Creativity, the Creative Pact for Skills, SACCORD, and CYANOTYPES, CSW2025 responds to the urgent transitions facing the sector today: digital advancements, the green shift, funding cuts, growing concerns on the implications of AI, the rise of populism, and skills shortages.

Against this backdrop, this year’s theme, Create. Transform. Regenerate., reflects a shared commitment to building adaptive, inclusive, and sustainable creative ecosystems.

Together we ask: how can we thrive amid complexity and uncertainty? What competences do we need to meet the future? How can we reimagine learning and shape it collaboratively? What does it mean to contribute to futures worth creating?

CSW2025 is structured across three experiential theme tracks, enabling you to:

  • Create

This track invites you to experiment with innovative tools and practices. Participate in hands-on activities and build practical capabilities through making, prototyping, and testing.

  • Transform

This track invites you to engage with peers on pressing issues, share insights, and contribute to shaping sector-wide strategies. Take part in debates, policy discussions, and strategic roundtables that address the systemic challenges and future direction of the Cultural and Creative Industries.

  • Regenerate

This track is for everyone looking to stay ahead of the curve. Participate in sessions exploring the latest developments and trends. Activities include peer-to-peer learning, foresight exercises, and collaborative innovation. Share insights and co-create pathways for sustainable evolution.

Co-organised with EIT Culture & Creativity, the Creative Pact for Skills, SACCORD and CYANOTYPES Creative Skills Week 2025 (CSW2025) will serve as a central hub for the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs), offering a dedicated platform for sharing knowledge and promoting new approaches to re-skilling and up-skilling.

The event is designed to facilitate knowledge exchange and the adoption of innovative skilling practices, while strengthening collaborations between Higher Education (HE), Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers, and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) within the CCIs. Through peer-to-peer learning and the CYANOTYPES training programme, CSW2025 seeks to enhance skills within the sector and anticipate future trends and competencies.

Additionally, the initiative aims to highlight the importance of the CCIs by fostering discussions on establishing local ecosystem partnerships and engaging policymakers.

Creative Skills Week 2025 emphasises the vital role of the CCIs, not only as an economic driver but also as a transformative force for sustainable cultural development across Europe.

Creative Skills Week 2025 is co-organised with EIT Culture & Creativity, the Creative Pact for Skills, SACCORD (Erasmus+ Forward-Looking Project Scheme co-funded by the European Commission Erasmus+ Programme) and CYANOTYPES (Alliances for Sectoral Cooperation on Skills co-funded by the European Commission Erasmus+ Programme).

ELIA and Creative Prague are the main organisers of Creative Skills Week 2025.
