Give new life to your clothes—or create beautiful handmade accessories—by learning to crochet botanical appliqués using leftover materials and traditional crochet techniques.
In this creative and hands-on workshop, we’ll focus on making crochet flowers and leaves that can be sewn onto garments to mend, decorate, or upcycle. Whether you’d like to embellish a jacket, jeans, or shirt, or turn your creations into brooches or hair pins, you’ll leave with versatile, wearable pieces you made yourself.
What you’ll learn:
- How to crochet various flowers and leaves (with options tailored to your skill level)
- Working with the magic loop and in the round
- How to read crochet charts and diagrams
- Key stitches used: chain, single crochet, double crochet, half-double crochet, and treble crochet
This workshop is suitable for practiced beginners—you should be familiar with making single and double crochet stitches. I’ll guide you through the rest step-by-step.
