About this event

I have exciting news: ArtfulPlay now has a permanent home! My cyanotype workshops will now be held in my new art studio at Wolvenplein here in Utrecht.

I'll still be teaching occasionally at the Griftpark, because it holds a special place in my heart. The gardens there, both wild and cultivated, are so inspiring! See my organizer page for workshops at the Griftpark.

In my workshops, everything is provided—I'll have cyanotype examples to inspire you and fresh and dried flowers and leaves to create with. Feel free to bring botanicals from your own garden or wanderings.

You'll leave with your own prints, but more importantly, you'll have a new perspective for the natural beauty around you.

Don't be surprised if you're found looking closely at the leaves on a tree or peering into the tall grasses and saying, "Now that would make a great cyanotype!"

Classes are in English and take place at my art studio at Wolvenplein. (Workshop price includes VAT.)

Please arrive ten minutes before the start time. The front entrance is locked, so I'll meet you there and wait until everyone arrives. Then we'll walk up to my studio together. Frequently asked questions

Are your classes available anytime other than the listed dates?

Yes! If there are a minimum of four people, I can make a special class for your group. Contact me and we can see what can work. Because cyanotype is so easy and fun, it's a great activity for gatherings with family or friends, girls' night out, team building, art parties and birthday parties.

Do you speak Dutch?

I am learning! But I don't speak enough to teach the workshop yet.

Is this workshop appropriate for children?

Absolutely! Kids love making cyanotypes. Children are welcome to sign up with an accompanying adult. Please reach out to me if you have any questions.

Can we cyanotype on things other than paper?

Yes! I can teach you how to cyanotype on fabric and other alternative surfaces, but I'll need you to tell me you're interested at least a week in advance so I can have the materials ready.
