Create a stunning Delft-inspired piece of art by hand and amaze your friends! This exquisite tile can serve as a coaster or be displayed on the wall as a masterpiece.

This workshop is designed for adults of all skill levels. You can attend the workshop as you are and enjoy a supportive and creative environment with Jonesy. The workshop also provides transfer templates for those who prefer to trace their design directly onto their tile. Your tile will be available to take home immediately and can be baked in your oven for permanent use.

Additionally, you can also bring your own hand-drawn or printed design to transfer onto the tile. With step-by-step instructions, you will create a beautiful work of art that you can be proud of.

All of Jonesy's workshops are BYOB so you can bring your favorite adult beverage. This workshop also includes coffee and tea and water. Please see additional information in the question and answer section below.✨ Join us and paint your own story — one brushstroke, one tile, and one beautiful shade of blue at a time.✨ No experience needed — just curiosity, creativity, and a love for blue. 💙

Frequently asked questions

What is the process for designing a Delft -inspired tile?

At the tile designing class, you will receive a tile and a traceable template of your choice. Alternatively, you can bring your picture as long as it meets the specified dimensions and specifications that will be sent to you when you register.

Are we painting or coloring our Delft-inspired tile?

To color the tile, you must first trace the image onto it. After that, you can use ceramic markers and paint to outline and color the tile. The markers and paint dry within minutes, but the colors are only permanent once you bake the tile.

How do I bake the tile?

You can bake the tile at home at 160°C for 25 minutes and then let it cool down in the oven. Alternatively, If you do not have an oven at home or would prefer that I "bake" it, I am happy to do so, and you can collect it at a later date.

Can you bake it at the studio?

As I rent the space at the Villa Randwijck, I am unable to bake the tiles at the center.

What if I am not artistic, can I still join?

All are welcome. There are designs available at various levels of complexity. You can select one you feel comfortable with, or omit details that you do not want to include. Do not fret!
