Where is DEMO Festival?

Accepted Answer

The full motion programme will be shown in the Netherlands, in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Tilburg, Eindhoven and Utrecht. A special selection will also be shown on XL and spectacular screens in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Brussels, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Cardiff, Leeds, Madrid, Barcelona, LA and Vancouver.

Question 2

How do I access the train stations?

Accepted Answer

To access the train stations in the Netherlands, an OV chipcard is required. You can buy this OV chipcard at every station. If you check in at the gates and out again within 1 hour. Nothing is charged on your card. For the public programme at Amsterdam Central Station, no OV chipcard is needed.

Question 3

Where are the talks?

Accepted Answer

At the First Class Waiting Room at track 2. You must be present minimum 10 minutes before the start of the talk at the DEMO info point in the Cuypershall at Amsterdam Central Station. This is the hall facing the city centre. From there you will be guided - this because of crowd control measures.

Question 4

Do I need a ticket for the workshop and/or talks?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Limited space is available and entrance is with ticket only. Check out the  'Workshop & Talks' page to book your free ticket.

Question 5

I have a ticket for one of the talks or workshops; where should I check in?

Accepted Answer

Please check in at least 10 minutes in advance at the DEMO info stand at Amsterdam Central Station. The stand is located in the arrivals hall (Cuypershall) on the city center side of the station. Let the DEMO Crew know you’re there, and they will guide you to the right room.

Question 6

I can’t make it in time for the start of the workshop or talk. What do I do?

Accepted Answer

To ensure the best experience for everyone, we must stick to the schedule. If you’re late for the start time of the talk (please check in at the DEMO info point at least 10 minutes prior), unfortunately, we won’t be able to let you in.

Question 7

I would like to attend a different talk/workshop. Is that possible?

Accepted Answer

You can cancel your ticket reservation through the link in the confirmation email. This way, we can make someone else happy with your ticket. As long as there are still tickets available, you can reserve a new ticket for a different talk or workshop.
