About this event

At the Dialogue Vintage Photo Festival, a huge variety of vintage photos and photo books will be available for purchase. Collectors and dealers from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, the UK, and Austria will showcase their latest acquisitions in vintage photography, spanning from 1839 to around 1990.

Numerous book dealers will present a fascinating selection of collectible photo books and reference materials.

Visitors can expect to explore, discover unique items, and find treasures priced between 5 euros and 80,000 euros. This event is an opportunity to meet collectors, curators, artists, dealers, and other photography enthusiasts.

This year, over 50,000 photos will be for sale, including vintage prints, carte-de-visite, cabinet cards, stereoviews, photo albums, daguerreotypes, tintypes, panoramas, photobooks, and art photography. Galleries specializing in 20th-century photography as well as those focusing on earlier periods will be present.

The lecture program, titled "Photography & Manipulation: Can You Trust Your Eye?" will be hosted and organized by the esteemed Dutch photo historian Hedy van Erp. Attendees can look forward to insightful discussions on the authenticity and manipulation of photographs. Complementing the lectures, we will also offer workshops on collodion and polaroid techniques. Additionally, several collectors will give talks about their collections, discussing what they collect and why. They will showcase choice pieces from their collections, providing a unique insight into both the collections and the collectors behind them. All of this will take place in a laid-back, informal atmosphere.
