Getting there & away

By air: The closest airports are Bergen or Oslo (Gardermoen). From there, you can either make us of public transportation or a rental car.

Public transportation: Geilo is located on the Bergen Railway right in between Oslo and Bergen. Hence, it is easy to get to with public transport. Travel time from Oslo or Bergen Airport to Geilo is between 3h45 minutes and 4h30 minutes. The trip from Bergen is known as one of Norway’s most scenic train rides.

By car: Driving time from Oslo Gardermoen airport to Geilo is approximately 3h15 minutes. From Bergen airport, driving time is approximately 4 hours
