A Relationship Conversation Nice

Have you ever found yourself replaying one comment for days while everyone else seemed to move on?

Maybe someone questioned your work.
Maybe they ignored an idea you shared.
Maybe a single comment stayed with you for days while everyone else seemed to move on.

Why do some interactions barely affect us while others completely throw us off balance?

In this relaxed online conversation, we'll explore why certain relationships have such a powerful effect on us and what those moments can teach us about ourselves.

This isn't group therapy, and it's not about finding the "right" response.

It's an opportunity to become curious about what happens when a relationship begins to pull us away from our own perspective.

Together we'll explore questions like:

  • Why do some people affect us more than others?
  • Why do we replay certain conversations?
  • What happens inside us when we lose our footing?
  • How do we stay connected to ourselves while staying connected to other people?

No prior knowledge is needed—just curiosity.

If you've recently had an interaction you can't quite let go of, you're welcome to bring that experience with you.

What to Expect

  • A short introduction to the topic
  • Thought-provoking questions
  • A facilitated discussion
  • Different perspectives from participants
  • Time for reflection
  • No pressure to share personal details

This conversation may be for you if:

  • You replay conversations long after they're over.
  • Some people's opinions affect you much more than others.
  • You sometimes lose confidence around people who matter.
  • You want to understand yourself better in relationships.
  • You're curious about why the same interaction affects different people so differently.

By the end of our conversation, you'll have:

  • A new way of understanding why certain interactions stay with you.
  • Greater awareness of what happens when you begin to lose your footing.
  • Questions you can continue exploring in your own relationships.
  • The benefit of hearing how other people experienced similar situations.

Before the conversation (optional)

If you'd like to explore your own patterns beforehand, you're welcome to complete my free five-minute Relationship Dynamics Assessment. We'll make space to discuss it if people are interested, but it isn't required to participate.

you can find the assessment tool or quiz at www.DrBarbaraLCiccarelli.com

A few practical notes

  • Cameras and microphones may remain off throughout the session if you prefer unless you wish to contribute. Many people find this creates a more comfortable and reflective space.
  • You're welcome simply to listen if that's what feels right. There is no pressure to speak. You decide how much you share and when.
  • Please join a few minutes early so we can begin on time.
  • Facilitation Style: I guide the conversation with questions rather than lectures, creating space for participants to think together and learn from one another's perspectives.
  • You don't need to have answers before you come. Curiosity is enough.

The link will follow closer to the time of the event,

I look forward to meeting you.
