This afternoon we have two performances in which talents supported by Music Hub Brabant play a prominent role. These are Yuri Rhodenborgh (Fumage) and Jornt Duyx. https://www.talenthubbrabant.nl/talenthubs/music-hub-brabant-90

Jornt Duyx (http://iornt.net) is a multi-instrumentalist and composer who started programming interactive/generative visuals last year. As main instrument in this project he uses a 6 string bass with which he can generate/manipulate the images. Coconspire is an improvised investigation into the possibilities of synesthesia within different defined starting points, both in sound and in image.

FUMAGE was founded in the summer of 2020 by Yuri Rhodenborgh and Pol Belardi as a result of a talent development trajectory for which Yuri was selected. In 2019 and 2020 Yuri played with Ruben Hein & the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, this inspired him to go back to his musical roots; Radiohead, Queens Of The Stone Age, Tame Impala, James Blake and Dirty Projectors are great sources of inspiration for the music of FUMAGE. After Pol and Yuri had written the music together and recorded demos in the second half of 2020, Angelo Boltini joined for the live aspect. After a residency in Opderschmelz, Dudelange (LUX) and in the Paradox, Tilburg, the live set was complete and they were ready to record their first EP in early May with Grammy Nominated producer Attie Bauw at Studio Arnold Mühren in Volendam. The first single from the EP will be released in mid-August and the full EP in early November.
