About this event
Join us in a practical workshop as one of the fortunate scientists and artists that have survived the ecological catastrophe 2050 and we have the extraordinary task of designing macro-organelles that increase the possibility of survival. This is a workshop for those interested in speculative design, biological arts and amateurs in crafting.
We will work with alginate (bioplastic) and dies to create different shapes of squeeze organelles that will determine the future of humans and other species.
In a Post-catastrophe scenario can we rise our empathy levels towards other species and what would be the principles of biological design?
During the lecture, we will go over several examples of artists, and designers presenting ideas for the future of food, clothes, ecology and relationships between all living species, to latter give you the control to create your own idea.
