About this event
Are you an expat in the Netherlands looking to start learning Dutch? I have been a certified Dutch-as-a-second-language teacher since 2011, and I offer small group courses designed to make learning Dutch enjoyable and social! Learn more about my courses here, which I offer both online and in person in Alphen aan de Rijn.
This FREE beginner small group class will give you a chance to learn how to greet and introduce yourself in a simple conversation, and practice the core vowel sounds that are crucial to good Dutch pronunciation! It will also allow you to get to know me and my teaching style better so you know if my courses are right for you.
Knowledge of English is required, as instructions will be given in English.

Active Dutch offers high-quality, engaging Dutch lessons for expats taught by me, Anouk van der Linde.
I have worked as a certified teacher of Dutch as a second language (NT2) since 2011. I have taught expats preparing for the Dutch civic integration exam, as well as expats and students at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. I find it greatly rewarding to help my students from all over the world join in the language and culture of their new home, the Netherlands! Each course and each student differs, and it is this challenge that keeps me always searching for new and better ways of helping my students learn Dutch!
The motto of Active Dutch, “learning Dutch with a personal touch”, means a lot to me. I am a one-woman operation, and I am here to support you every step of the way. I look forward to getting to know you!
