OSCAM presents Echoes of Resistance, a pop-up exhibition that explores how marginalized communities - whether Arab, African, or other minorities - have been systematically displaced and misrepresented by institutionalized systems rooted in colonial structures.
Despite different cultural backgrounds, what unites these communities is their shared humanity and common struggles for recognition, visibility, and the basic rights to exist. Featuring voices from Sudan, Palestina and Congo.
In this exhibition we joined forces with Future is Arab, who created an art- and sound installation that presents a haunting visual metaphor for loss and impermanence. Bringing the visitors into the daily reality of conflict.
During the opening we also welcome @tatreezlanguage, who will be giving a workshop on traditional Palestinian embroidery. Here Embroidery can be experienced as more than a craft but as a way to assert identity and resistance.
