Description

If you're starting out on your cycling journey, this group ride is for you! Get acquainted with the basics of cycling on a relaxed and fun ride - we'll equip you with all the knowledge you need to hit the road. Learn basic roadside skills like changing a flat tyre, fixing brakes, riding in a group and cleaning a chain - ask all the questions you need in a 100% non-judgmental atmosphere.

This ride is for me if:

• I have never been on a road bike before or,
• I have never been on a group ride before or,
• I have never been on a long ride before (>1hr)

THE LOWDOWN

Ride time: 2 hours total (75-90 mins riding)

Distance: +/- 35km

When: 10:30am once a month

Total spaces: 8

Start / Finish: En Route Cycling Cafe, 69 Bilderdijkstraat Amsterdam

Ride leader: One of our En Route crew members

Suitable for: new cyclists (read the section above to know if this ride is for you)

What's included: Ride ticket plus a coffee

What to bring:

• Bike,
• Helmet (mandatory / can be hired at En Route),
• Cycling/workout clothes suitable for the weather,
• Comfortable workout shoes or if you own them a pair of cleated cycling shoes and clipless pedals
• Water-bottle and Nutrition
• Yourself, then we have got everything for post and pre ride fuel at the Cafe 😉

No bike? No problem. If you're joining without wheels, or keen to try a new ride, simply let us know at least 24 hours in advance - we're happy to prepare a rental bike for you.

Storage facilities are limited - small items can be looked after but please leave large valuables at home.

If for any reason you're unable to make it, please make all cancellations via Eventbrite.
