About this event
Every second Saturday of the month, En Route goes Off Road and explores the most beautiful and hidden gravel routes in the Netherlands.
Designed for Intermediate gravel riders, we will have a mixture of different terrain and trails with some handy tips & tricks from our off road legends Megan and Julia. There'll be a stop or two for some snacks in the forrest.
For maximum gravel fun, we will try and escape the city as directly as possible and get ourselves to the gravel! There will always be some on road parts but for the most part Gravel is on the menu. The exact route details will be shared closer to the date.
Similar to our Sunday social ride, this one is a non-drop, stick together and have a chat kinda ride (don’t worry we won’t leave you behind in the forest!).

The Lowdown
When: Second Saturday of every month - 9.30am-2.00pm
Start: Amersfoort Central Station - Amersfoort
Finish: En Route Cycling Cafe, 69 Bilderdijkstraat Amsterdam
What: 80-100km Gravel
(4-5hours on the bike, avg speed on trails is naturally lower than on road, 20-24km/h)
Total spaces: 10
Ride leaders: Megan & Julia
Suitable for: Intermediate gravel McCyclists
Tickets: 6.20€- Ride ticket plus coffee / cold beer / soft drink
What kind of bike to bring: a minimum of 32 mm tire width is required since we will encounter muddy/sandy patches. Some tread will definitely help, Gravel bikes are best!
What else to bring: Helmet, Cycling gear suitable cycling shoes & clothes, water bottle, extra food (banana, sandwich, bars - remember we might be in the middle of a forest for a while), repair tools and spare tubes

No bike? No problem. If you're joining without wheels, or keen to try a new ride, simply let us know 24 hours in advance - we're happy to prepare a rental bike for you.
Come dressed for the occasion in cycling gear. If you're not into lycra, wear something comfortable to workout in. Helmets are mandatory and can be hired at En Route. Storage facilities are limited - small items can be looked after but please leave large valuables at home.
