<H3>Engage Billions of Scientists! Citizen participation in evidence-based lobby & advocacy</H3>
WWF Netherlands and the IUCN National Committee of the Netherlands organize a three-day workshop on Citizen Science. The workshop will bring together a varied group of experts including representatives from civil society, science and government to learn from interesting cases studies, unpack prominent themes related to citizen science and share experiences.
Next to an interesting program with keynote speakers and thematic working groups, this workshop also serves to kick-start four winning pilots to promote citizen involvement. Several interesting best practices and cases will be showcased for a wider audience, to exchange and learn with a wider group of experts. Participants will have the opportunity to attend multiple interactive sessions about themes linked to citizen science, such as lobby & advocacy, truly engaging citizens, appropriate technology and ethical issues.
